Calgary, AB (April 10, 2019) – Cavalry FC is pleased to announce the signing of José Escalante (HON) to Cavalry FC inaugural season roster. 

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, José Escalante started his professional football career with Club Deportivo Olimpia (commonly known as Olimpia) in Honduras in 2012. In 2014 Escalante was loaned to Honduras Progresso where he spent two seasons. Escalante traveled north in 2016 where is spent seasons (loans) with Rio Grande Valley FC Toros (commonly known as the Toros) and the Houston Dynamo, in the United Soccer League (USL) Major League Soccer (MLS) respectively. 

In 2018 Escalante joined San Antonio FC of the USL before heading back to Honduras to play for first division Juticalpa FC. Escalente was formerly a U20 Honduran International and during his time with the Toro’s in 2016 he played alongside current teammate and goalkeeper Marco Carducci.

I am also excited for the opportunity to play with Calvary FC, a great club with excellent players and staff. I will for sure learn a lot this year. I’m a very fast player that likes to attack the opponent and anxiously waiting for this new season to start.” Jose Escalante on signing with Cavalry FC.
